1. The Promotion is sponsored by Staples Inc. of Five Hundred Staples Drive, Framingham, MA 01702, United States. (the “Promoter”). Claims must not be sent to this address as they will not be processed.

  2. Opia Limited, a company incorporated in England and Wales of Priory House, Pilgrims Court, Sydenham Road, Guildford, Surrey, England, GU1 3RX (the “Administrator”)

  3. The Promotion will commence at 00:01 AM (CST) on October 6th, 2019 and shall close at 23:59 (CST) on November 2nd, 2019 (“Promotion Period”).

  4. To be eligible to participate in the Promotion you must be a legal resident over the age of 18, of the United States of America.

  5. This Promotion is not open to employees of the Promoter, the Administrator, their parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising representatives and agencies, their agents, wholesalers, resellers, retail staff, retailers, or anyone connected with the Promotion and the immediate families of any of the foregoing persons.

  6. Participants who purchase a selected new (i.e. not second hand or refurbished) Dell or Lenovo PC listed in Table 1 below, within the Promotion Period (“Promotion Product”) in-store only from Staples (“Participating Retailer”) will be eligible to claim a $100.00 digital prepaid Visa card (‘Reward’), upon trading in a Qualifying Trade-In Device (as defined at Condition 9 below), subject to full compliance with these Promotion Terms and Conditions (“Promotion Terms”). For the avoidance of doubt this Promotion applies to solely in-store purchases only, online purchases from the Participating Retailer are specifically excluded from this Promotion.

  1. Participants and households may claim for a maximum of one (1) Reward during the Promotion, regardless of the quantity of Promotion Products purchased or Qualifying Trade-In Devices traded.

  2. In order to participate in the Promotion, following purchase of a Promotion Product, Participants must go to www.staplestrade-in.com and complete the presented claim form, and submit a copy of their proof of purchase alongside any other requested information (the “Claim”). Once a Claim has been accepted (“Claim Approval”), Participants must make a Qualifying Trade-In (as set out at Clause 9 below) within 30 days of Claim Approval.

  3. Trade-In Device

    1. Laptop (2-in-1, convertible, detachable), desktop or AiO. For the avoidance of doubt, no tablets or mobile devices will be accepted.

    2. Devices running Windows, Android or iOS are all accepted.

    3. The device will be accepted in any condition, i.e. damages, non-functioning or without a power cord.

    4. Participants are responsible for ensuring that all personal data has been removed from the Trade-In Device.

  4. Claims must be submitted between 14-45 days from the date of purchase indicated on the receipt or invoice. The date of purchase indicated on the proof of purchase is day one (1). The final Claim date (for a Promotion Product purchased on November 2, 2019) is no later than 11:59pm (CST) on December 16, 2019 (“Claim Window”). Claims submitted outside the Claim Window shall be rejected and considered ineligible for Reward.

  5. Once the Claim has been received, Participants will receive confirmation of receipt by email from support@staplestrade-in.com. Participants will receive further communication within 3 business days stating whether or not their Claim for Reward has been successful. It is the Participant’s responsibility to contact the customer service team using the email address above within two (2) days of their Claim being sent if an email acknowledgement has not been received.

  6. Provided the Promotion Terms have been met, Participant’s Reward shall be sent via email, to the email address provided in the Claim form within 28 days of receipt by the Administrator of the Qualifying Trade-In.

  7. If an incomplete claim form or an unaccepted proof of purchase is received a notification email will be sent to the Participant with the opportunity to provide the required information within seven (7) days of the email being sent. If no reply is received within seven (7) days then the claim for a Reward will be refused.

  8. In the event of a Promotion Product being returned or replaced for any reason during the Claim Window and the Reward has not been issued, the original Claim will be voided and the Participant will need to re-submit their Claim accordingly against their replacement order.

  9. Where the device received by the Administrator is not considered to meet the conditions set out at Condition 9 the Administrator, on behalf of the Promoter, reserves the right to make a deduction to the Reward amount. The Administrator shall notify the Participant of any deduction within 10 days of receipt of the Trade-In Device. The Participant shall have 14 days from this notification to accept the revised Reward amount or have their Trade-In Device returned (at the Administrator’s cost). If no response is given within this time frame, the Trade-In Device shall be recycled and the revised Reward amount will be paid.

  10. The decisions of the Promoter in respect of any, and all aspects of the Promotion will be final and binding. The Promoter reserves the right to amend or cancel the terms of this offer without notice.

  11. The Promoter shall have the right, where necessary, to undertake all such action as is reasonable to protect itself against fraudulent or invalid claims including, without limitation, to require further verification as to proof of purchase, as well as the identity, age, and other relevant details of a participant.

  12. The Promoter will not be responsible or liable for: (a) any failure to receive submissions due to transmission failures and other conditions beyond its reasonable control; (b) any late, lost, misrouted, or damaged transmissions or claims; (c) any computer or communications related malfunctions or failures; (d) any disruptions, losses or damages caused by events beyond the control of the Promoter; or (e) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Promotion.

  13. Other than as set out in these terms and conditions or for the purpose of operating the Promotion, the details and information provided by Participants when entering the Promotion will not be used for any promotional purpose, nor shall they be passed to any third party.

  14. These Terms and Conditions and the Promotion are governed by U.S. law and are subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Terms and Conditions, or the rights and obligations of Participant and the Promoter in connection with the Promotion, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Texas, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions (whether of the State of Texas, or any other jurisdiction) that would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of Texas. Staples reserves the right to change these terms and conditions from time to time in its discretion. All terms and conditions are applicable to the extent permitted by law.
